We’re looking for full-time engineers for our core technology and flagship applications: MetaDisk and DriveShare. You will be part of the core team of an early-stage startup looking to release a product ASAP. You should be passionate, dedicated, and live to create, like we do. You will own large portions of our product, and shouldn’t be afraid to push it in the direction you think is best.

This is a full time position in our office.

Skills & Requirements

Our ideal candidate has:

• A passion for decentralization, open source software, and the blockchain
• Deep knowledge of and experience with Node.js
• Impeccably clean code beautiful enough to make grown men weep
• An obsessive, near-creepy, love for unit tests with maximum coverage
• A practical understanding of public-key cryptography and secure design
• All the icing on the cake of a modern engineer: Github, design patterns, etc.

Bonus points for:

• Experience working with Bitcoin or another cryptocurrency on the protocol level
• Deep knowledge of C/C++, Java, Python, or Go
• Experience building high-featured RESTful web services
• Experience with React, or similar front-end frameworks

Super extra bonus points for:

• Contributions to open-source projects in decentralization or cryptocurrency
• Advanced degree (M.S., Ph.D.) in a relevant field
• Experience or background in distributed algorithms, machine learning, artificial intelligence, complexity science

Job Description

We have some big questions about our storage network. How can we guarantee 99.999% availability (or better!) to our customers? How much does past behavior predict future behavior? Who should we contract to store data? We’re looking for someone to help us get some big answers.

This is an open-ended job built around a complex problem: given information about nodes on a peer-to-peer network, including storage capacity, uptime, relative latency, and bandwidth, how do you distribute data storage across nodes to meet or exceed availability and accessibility goals? If this seems interesting to you, well, we can pay you to solve it!

This is a full time position in our office.

Job Description

We are looking for a talented writer to join our Community team and create beautiful, clear, and dynamic copy. Our Community team will educate and engage with developers throughout the world by curating a rich collection of helpful tutorials and evangelizing emerging open source technologies. Storj Labs will provide the simplest experience to launch and manage object storage infrastructure online.

Applicants should have a deep understanding of how to create compelling content that appeals to developers and the ability to adapt their work to various mediums (blog posts, emails, site content, etc). You should be excited about the tech and startup space and be driven to create work that developers love.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Execute the overall community communications strategy
• Develop and refine the Storj Labs voice with key stakeholders (farmers and developers)
• Manage existing communication channels (Slack, reddit, email, blog) and continually evaluate emerging developer communications channels
• Research and produce content in various forms (email, blog, howto documentation, ebooks, video, etc.) in support of community and content marketing plan
• Produce and evaluate topic ideas for future articles
• Research to build a working knowledge on each topic
• Write and edit articles on open source topics for the Storj Community
• Maintain existing articles by updating content where appropriate
• Coordinate to ensure topic coverage and avoid overlap where possible
• Work with marketing teams to create developer focused email and site copy
• Compose blog posts and short email copy for Community initiatives
• Participate in Community initiatives (feature launch prep work, strategic tasks, etc.)

Minimum Qualifications:

• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Working knowledge of Amazon S3, Microsoft Azure and Google cloud object storage offerings
• Minimum 2 years working in a copywriting, or content marketing role, preferably in a developer focused and/or technologically focused company

Job Description

The Marketing Automation Guru will oversee the creation and optimization of lead nurturing, lead scoring, and automated marketing programs to develop and convert qualified sales leads. In this role, the successful candidate will manage the entire marketing automation development phases including: requirements gathering, design/development, testing, configuration and advanced administration, including perpetual iteration - A/B testing.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Turn marketing automation platform into the company’s primary revenue driver, using best practices in marketing automation, lead management and revenue performance management
• Gather requirements, translate business needs into technical execution, receive feedback and present results
• Manage projects to deliver the expected results on time and on budget
• Provide innovative solutions by creating cutting edge, effective and efficient marketing programs
• Hands-on development and execution of marketing campaigns including campaign flow builds, email, landing page and form creation, testing, media placement, tracking, etc.
• Drive and manage email process: content, messaging, segmentation, and list management for maximum revenue and profitability
• Create, implement and maintain dashboard of key success metrics
• Monitor, analyze and report on campaign performance to maximize ROI and sales

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of interactive marketing experience
• Minimum 1 year experience working with a marketing automation platforms (preferably Marketo) and CRM platforms (Netsuite). Certifications are a strong asset.
• Expert knowledge of marketing technologies and industry best practices
• Proven experience with interactive marketing techniques including inbound/outbound marketing, demand generation, SEO, SEM, PPC, Analytics, etc.
• Solid understanding of workflow processes and systems within a marketing/sales cycle
• Excellent communication skills: written, verbal and presentation
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities, projects, resources
• Must be able to provide online portfolio, email templates, or other work samples demonstrating relevant marketing automation experience
